STAYERS’ HURDLE (Gr.1); Alors que Teahupoo (Masked Marvel), Kabral du Mathan (Pastorius) et Bob Olinger le tenant du titre étaient très attendus, c’est Home By The Lee (Fame And Glory), le gros outsider à 33/1 qui s’impose ! Il avait déjà participé 5 fois à ce Gr.1 sans victoire et c’est à l’age de 11 ans qu’il parvient à s’imposer sous la selle de James Slevin et pour l’entrainement de J.P. O’Brien. Home By The Lee venait de gagner Gr.2 à Gowran Park en Irlande et comme l'avait dit Paul Townend avant la course c'était "le cheval oublié" auquel il faut faire attention. Il est issu de la souche de Neblin, gagnant de 12 courses triple lauréat de Listed en Angleterre
