L'Arabie Saoudite a de nouveau dominé la réunion du Grand Prix de Sa Majesté le roi Mohammed VI à Casablanca au Maroc, le vendredi 4 mai sur l'hippodrome d'Anfa.Voir les résultats complets et les images de ce rendez-vous qui comportait pour la 1e fois une course de cavalières.
From Saudi Arabia, Al Khalidiah Stables, just like in 2011, took the best two races of the card, two Gr.3s : the third race with Aawaj Al Khalidiah then the Grand Prix, the best Arabian event of the year in Morocco, with Shaghmoom Al Khalidiah. Both ridden by Roberto Perez, they are by the late Tiwaiq, a contreversial stallion, as being accused of not being (or was not...) purely bred.
Roberto Perez and the saudian Al Khalidiah Stables dominate once again in Morocco... with no microchip.
Anyway, Shaghmoon, an impressive filly was joined by Aabir, the best moroccan mare ridden by Thami Zergane just in front of the tough Djarnizam Maamora. One tiny problem though : the 4 saudian runners were not microchipped, which delayed their arrival in the ring before the third race. But the moroccan racing rules, very similar to the french code, forbids any horse not microchipped to run. That same evening, the most powerful owners, Jalobey Racing (El Alami family) and Mrs Hakam warn the authorities to lodge an official complaint.
The very first edition of the ladies championship went to the german rider Nadine Gratz, aboard Chaoui.
